Description
Unlike simple load tables, GRT simulates the internal ballistics process by allowing users to enter cartridge specifications, propellant type and charge weight, bullet dimensions, and other parameters. It then uses these inputs to project pressure curves and muzzle velocity, helping users evaluate whether a load is within safe limits and how various changes affect performance.

To obtain Gordon’s Reloading Tool (GRT), you first need to visit the GRT Discord server, where the application is provided as a downloadable ZIP file. After downloading, the archive must be unpacked and the application installed locally. A Windows PC is required for native installation.
Running GRT on macOS or Linux is possible only with advanced technical skills, as it requires setting up a Windows-compatible emulation or virtual machine environment. In all cases, GRT remains a local installation on a single computer and can only be accessed from that specific machine.
